Art Week Liberec cre\u00adates a space for reflec\u00adtion on cul\u00adtur\u00adal, social, and envi\u00adron\u00admen\u00adtal top\u00adics and strength\u00adens the rela\u00adtion\u00adship between art and every\u00adday life. As the only fes\u00adti\u00adval of its kind in the Czech Repub\u00adlic, it has been con\u00adnect\u00aded with the Euro\u00adpean Her\u00aditage Days from the very begin\u00adning, tak\u00ading advan\u00adtage of oppor\u00adtu\u00adni\u00adties to include sig\u00adnif\u00adi\u00adcant archi\u00adtec\u00adtur\u00adal land\u00admarks of the region in its program.<\/p>\n
The con\u00adtem\u00adpo\u00adrary art fes\u00adti\u00adval has been held since 2016 and is one of the most impor\u00adtant cul\u00adtur\u00adal events in north\u00adern Bohemia. Through short-term inter\u00adven\u00adtions and exhi\u00adbi\u00adtions, it presents cur\u00adrent Czech and inter\u00adna\u00adtion\u00adal art and opens a dis\u00adcus\u00adsion on impor\u00adtant social issues. Its aim is to make con\u00adtem\u00adpo\u00adrary visu\u00adal art acces\u00adsi\u00adble to a wider audi\u00adence and to encour\u00adage civic engage\u00adment as well as inter\u00adest in the future of the region. This is achieved not only through exhi\u00adbi\u00adtions with a clear social dimen\u00adsion but also through a rich accom\u00adpa\u00adny\u00ading program.<\/p>\n
Since its incep\u00adtion, Art Week Liberec has tak\u00aden place at the same time as the Euro\u00adpean Her\u00aditage Days (EHD) and shares with them the key idea \u2013 to con\u00adnect con\u00adtem\u00adpo\u00adrary art with the his\u00adtor\u00adi\u00adcal mon\u00adu\u00adments of the city of Liberec and, in some edi\u00adtions, also with land\u00admarks in near\u00adby Zittau.<\/p>\n
