A&nbsp;cen\u00adtral theme of her explo\u00adration is the fate of the bor\u00adder\u00adlands and its inhab\u00adi\u00adtants. Through spe\u00adcif\u00adic sto\u00adries, she uncov\u00aders the lay\u00adered, mul\u00adti\u00adfac\u00adeted iden\u00adti\u00adty of a&nbsp;giv\u00aden local\u00adi\u00adty, with mem\u00ado\u00adry serv\u00ading as her key medium\u2014an insep\u00ada\u00adra\u00adble and deeply root\u00aded part of each of&nbsp;us.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"571\" data-end=\"1176\">The site-specific audio\u00advi\u00adsu\u00adal work, sit\u00adu\u00adat\u00aded in the Lesn\u00ed vila of Hein\u00adrich von Liebieg (more com\u00admon\u00adly known to the pub\u00adlic as Wolker\u2019s Sana\u00adto\u00adri\u00adum), becomes a&nbsp;means of reveal\u00ading the <em data-start=\"751\" data-end=\"764\">genius loci<\/em> and frag\u00adments of the col\u00adlec\u00adtive his\u00adto\u00adry of its res\u00adi\u00addents. The work evokes a&nbsp;near\u00adly Biedermeier-style remem\u00adbrance of the Liebieg fam\u00adi\u00adly, whose pre\u00adserved cor\u00adre\u00adspon\u00addence regard\u00ading Emper\u00ador Franz Joseph I.\u2019s vis\u00adit brings their sto\u00adry back into the aware\u00adness of the place. The revealed text restores a&nbsp;for\u00adgot\u00adten nar\u00adra\u00adtive to the build\u00ading itself, help\u00ading co-create its iden\u00adti\u00adty through the redis\u00adcov\u00adery of old stories.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1178\" data-end=\"2129\">With a&nbsp;sen\u00adsi\u00adtive artis\u00adtic hand, the artist cre\u00adates an instal\u00adla\u00adtion in the raw, aban\u00addoned build\u00ading, using del\u00adi\u00adcate pig\u00adment, untreat\u00aded wood, and authen\u00adtic sound record\u00adings. In this envi\u00adron\u00adment marked by a&nbsp;bit\u00adter\u00adsweet his\u00adto\u00adry, a&nbsp;sub\u00adtle yet objec\u00adtive\u00adly dis\u00adtanced reflec\u00adtion of the place emerges, whose iden\u00adti\u00adty has been lay\u00adered, sup\u00adpressed, and for\u00adgot\u00adten over decades. The build\u00ading itself has under\u00adgone dark stages in its existence\u2014from a&nbsp;sum\u00admer res\u00adi\u00addence of a&nbsp;local patron, to a&nbsp;con\u00adva\u00adles\u00adcent home, an NSDAP head\u00adquar\u00adters, a&nbsp;pul\u00admonary sana\u00adto\u00adri\u00adum, and a&nbsp;children\u2019s psy\u00adchi\u00adatric clin\u00adic, to its cur\u00adrent state as a&nbsp;silent wit\u00adness to shift\u00ading his\u00adto\u00adries. After the war, its func\u00adtion and sig\u00adnif\u00adi\u00adcance con\u00adtin\u00adued to change until, in the 1990s, it became an aban\u00addoned build\u00ading sur\u00adround\u00aded by numer\u00adous local leg\u00adends. Through her inter\u00adven\u00adtion, the artist sym\u00adbol\u00adi\u00adcal\u00adly restores a&nbsp;lost frag\u00adment to the place\u2014not only mate\u00adri\u00adal\u00adly but, most impor\u00adtant\u00adly, in terms of memory.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2131\" data-end=\"2302\"><em>Vis\u00adi\u00adtors enter the space at their own risk. The vil\u00adla is not nor\u00admal\u00adly open to the pub\u00adlic. Entry is not rec\u00adom\u00admend\u00aded for chil\u00addren under 15.
