Dalibor Matouš –Totalitarianism, Fear, and Creativity

Exhi­bi­tion cura­tor Fil­ip Jakš will mod­er­ate a meet­ing with the artist’s daugh­ter, Vlas­ta Matoušová. The dis­cus­sion will focus on the pos­si­bil­i­ties of the artist’s self-realization dur­ing the com­mu­nist regime and on the influ­ence of the fear of war con­flicts on his work. The fear of a third world war is, in its own way, also an (East) Euro­pean legacy.
